Belarus invites Chinese, Indian investors to join in privatization

Belarus wants investors from China and India to take part in the privatization of big companies, State Property Committee First Deputy Director Piotr Lukyanov said Thursday.

"We are considering investment proposals especially from India and China," said Piotr Lukyanov, the State Property Committee first deputy director.

The final decision on the privatization of big companies will be made by the President, Lukyanov said.

The official said the inflow of foreign investments has a positive impact on enterprises as well as on the economy in general.
